the YMCA! YMCAs are the largest provider
and promoter of health and wellness activities in more than 10,000 communities across the USA. The YMCA of Southern
West Virginia offers all health & wellness classes FREE with your membership! Classes are offered daily on a drop-in basis. Everyone is welcome!
HEALTH & WELLNESS PROGRAM OFFERINGS AQUA-AEROBICS Participants use the water for resistance for a surprisingly intense cardiovascular and muscular workout. This
class is joint friendly and is highly recommended. The participant controls their own intensity while building
an aerobic base.
CARDIO’N STRENGTH We will take you on an energetic class combining
step and muscle conditioning for those who want a challenge.
CARDIO TONING Energetic, fat burning, simple, athletic, a variety of aerobic moves to build
your cardio base. Followed by intense full body strengthening exercises to sculpt every muscle.
DANCE AEROBICS We will take you on a fast and fun dance aerobic routine. A mix of strong energetic
movements that flows with the rhythm of each song. You will love it
INDOOR CYCLING
Beginner to Advanced - guaranteed to be fun, challenging and exciting. Classes are designed to simulate
road and mountain biking terrain with a lot of different moves in between.
KICKBOXING All the intensity
you need and the results you want. This is a fast paced, fun filled hour of kick and punch the bag!
LOW IMPACT CARDIO A Great way to start your morning! This class offers a mix
of aerobic step, dance and strength conditioning.
STEP AEROBICS “Variety” is our specialty. Step aerobic activity
that is fun and entertaining. This format strengthens your upper and lower extremities! De-stress and reshape
that body!
STEP/KICK In this class,
anything goes! Some step, high/low aerobics, body conditioning and kickboxing.
SUPER TONING (Strength conditioning) Total body workout with small, intermediate and heavier weights, stability balls, tubing. Abs get
it too!
WILL POWER & PILATES Our step choreography adds to this intensive all body workout! Pilates
are a rigorous no-impact class that combines the techniques and principles of mat and ball. Also designed
to improve posture, flexibility and physical awareness.
YOGA We will provide a nurturing yet challenging class with emphasis on bringing your spirit, mind &
body into balance promoting better health and well-being. Designed to improve posture, flexibility, balance
and relaxation.

Want to add muscle and improve your cardiovascular conditioning?
Upon joining the Y, meet with one of our fitness staff members for a FREE consultation and orientation to the Wellness Center
and Weight Room equipment. Our staff can set up a training schedule for you or even provide you with motivation through
one-on-one personal training sessions. For more information, contact the Health & Fitness
Director or visit the Wellness Center. HAVE LITTLE ONES TO WATCH?
The YMCA offers members FREE 2 hour child care at Kid's Corner while you work out.
